Environment:
Thermophiles exist in hot environments, they can exist to reproduce at temperatures up to 120 degrees Celsius. Thermophiles need heat to survive and cannot inhabit environments with temperatures below around 50 degrees Celsius. It is due to this need for heat that thermophiles can normally be found in and around 2 different geothermal environments; Hydrothermal vents and hydrothermal hot springs.
